Are we Hamlet? Is the average person Hamlet? Slowly (or rather fast in old age retrospect) moving away from youth years and having one's dreams and hopes chipped away - except for the some few - and then being caught in adulthood life of responsibilities where everyday we want to make that big decision and strike - strike for the better, strike for our dignity, beliefs, work, love, whatever...but then pull back because of all the things taken into consideration - the sense of security that idleness gives - maybe the fear of failure: the failure that is avoided by inaction, but is also ever-present because of it. We postpone the move (whatever it may be) for another time, a better time...until the time leaves forever. Maybe that is also a reason, or at least one of them, why Hamlet is so looked down upon...because we feel his insecurities in ourselves and we deny them by bashing him.
